Cute Card

Hi all!  Haven't been writing for a few, I have been MOVING!!!  How fun?  NOT!  I am happy report however my scrapbooking nook has been safely moved and is ready to start creating.  Of course I have no bed there yet, but I have my priorities! Recently I went shopping and found these great new stamps from Julie Nutting.  I chose two that I thought I would use the most and made cards for my step daughters.  In these two cards I used the same stamps but achieved different looks.

Because it is a large stamp, I kept it on the clear plastic and stamped it on the textured paper.  (hint*  Put a mouse pad under your stamping to get even pressure  Thanks Ella)

For the first card I used Tim Holtz Distress Marker which blend really beautifully.  I cut the card paper down to a tag, then bound the side with the reverse of the paper.

For the second card I used a stencil design to trace a "fancy" edge.  I used my chalk pencil from sewing to do this because it wipes off so easily!

To give the stamp more punch, this time I stamped the middle of the girl on a different paper, and cut out the shirt and the skirt.  Then I adhered them with pop dots.

Both of the cards took a total of 20 minutes at best, and completed I had something that gave that extra punch to send to the ones I love.
Sometimes being messy can be pretty darn clean!

Until next time!  Bright blessings and Be Messy!!!
