It's Summer!  It's Summer!

I kicked off the summer with a fun little canvas inspired by Gabriella Pollaco.  I started with an 8x10 canvas from Michael's and covered it with paper pieces from different scraps that I had laying around.  I then painted it with some silk paint to give it a pop!

I thought it needed some texture so I added some black splatter and white circles.  To make the circles I painted bubble wrap and stamped it.

The fun part started when I made the girl.  I used my Julie Nutmeg stamp, but I wanted her skirt to be longer.  I stamped her pieces onto several different colors and then cut them out, piecing together a longer skirt for her.  I then used a black sharpie to outline her to give her some depth.
Can you guess what color hair my daughter has?

From here I embellished.  I used stamps, a word sticker from Heidi Swapp, some flourishes and bling to add her flair and a set of butterflies which I sprayed with several colors of Tattered Angels until they looked like I wanted them too.

This was a fun start to a great and super creative summer I FEEL IT!!!
